What is a Problem Solving Group?
Problem Solving Groups (PSGs) are flexible groups of 10-15 Bridgeport parents who identify challenges facing the public schools. These parents devise solutions that are right for Bridgeport, and they advocate for or implement those solutions. Problem Solving Group members are empowered to play an active and impactful role in the improvement of Bridgeport public schools, leading to a transformation of our school district that is driven by parents.
Using the problem solving framework, PSG members work as a group to identify a problem, develop and implement solutions, evaluate the impact of the solution and discover ways to continuously improve the solution. As members of the PSG, parents are drivers of change within the Bridgeport community and assume a much more active role in the improvement of our public schools.
